Delhi: Onsecurity has launched ‘Onsurity Edge Credits Program’ to empower startups by offering membership with health benefits to their employees. Startups who opt for the credits program will receive up to INR 25,000 credits, which can be redeemed to buy comprehensive healthcare plans offering healthcare along with wellness benefits to the employees.
The company’s plan is to reach 10,000 more Small and Mid-size Enterprises (SMEs) and startups through this program, covering over one lakh lives in the next 12 months.
The Edge Credits Program has been launched with the aim to fill in the capital gap for startups who can’t afford medical coverage to support their team’s health and add momentum to the growth of the startup ecosystem without compromising on employees’ health.
Launching the Program and providing insights into the motive behind its introduction, Kulin Shah, Co-founder and COO, Onsurity said, “We are thrilled to launch a credits program taking us a step closer towards our vision of ‘Gift of Health’ to expedite comprehensive, affordable healthcare benefits to the ones who need it the most: start-ups and their workforce. This mechanism will have a catalytic effect on start-ups in their initial stages who do not have the bandwidth in time or money to create their own employee welfare program at an affordable budget. It will help these emerging businesses in saving on their working capital and at the same time ensuring that their employees are looked after.”
The self-serve platform aims to assist entrepreneurs in managing their employees’ health by eliminating the need for extensive paperwork and HR processes. The program can be availed for teams with three people and above and is available for all full-time employees, part-time employees and contractual staff. The healthcare benefits offered under the program include group health and personal accidental insurance for members, discounted online medicines and health check-ups, free doctor teleconsultations, free health and wellness live sessions amongst other medical services.
