Lizzo is showing us that it is definitely possible to become “Mrs. Grinch” for Christmas and pull it off in style (with a few modifications, of course). In fact, the singer dedicated three separate posts of the look to her Instagram grid on December 22.

First things first: nailing the Grinch’s signature green complexion. Instead of going with a full-on beat of green, makeup artist Alexx Mayo decorated Lizzo’s eyelids with some sparkling green eye shadow. He also made sure not to neglect highlighting that inner corner. Eye shadow without some shimmer on that inner corner just hits different, you know?

The green didn’t meet its end on the singer’s eyelids. Some strands of light green hair were also peeking out from the singer’s beehive updo that appears to have been made out of Christmas tree garland, which was perfected by hairstylist Shelby Swain. Given how big it is — along with the fact that it’s topped with a big red gift bow and dripping in an assortment of glittery ornaments — the updo could honestly double as a mini Christmas tree. Lizzo, clearly, is the present underneath.

Her glamorous take on Mrs. Grinch also came with a gorgeous Christmas-themed manicure by nail artist Eri Ishizu. The nail set consisted of red and white tips — some painted to look like peppermint candies, others with topped with snowflakes, another with a red jewel.

On the singer’s grid, you can also see a reel of her showing off the look and playing with that one, long curl, and another photoset with some fun shots of her gorgeous two-piece outfit. And there you have it: Dressing like Mrs. Grinch 101. While the hair and makeup are key to getting the fictitious character’s look down, make sure to wear your favorite holiday outfit, too — even if it’s not all green.
