How To Delete Page In MS Word –
1. By Pressing Backspace Or Delete Key
The easiest way of deleting a page in Word is by pressing the Backspace or Delete key on your keyboard. However, you may think that it is the slowest way as you have to keep pressing the Backspace or Delete key for long, depending on the text present on that particular page you want to delete. But that is not the case as you will have to select the part you want to delete and just press the Backspace or Delete key once.
Step 1: If there is one page in the document and you want to delete everything on the page, press Ctrl + A and then press Delete/Backspace.
Step 2: If there are multiple pages and you want to delete any one page from them, then select the page entirely with your mouse selection pointer and press Delete/Backspace.
2. With Find & Replace Tool
When there are too many pages in a Word document, it becomes difficult to navigate to the desired page, especially when it is far away from the first page. Using the scroll bar will also take time, and you will not land on the desired page at once. Moreover, using the scroll button on the mouse will not be so effective and could be tiring. Therefore, we recommend you to use Find and Replace option in Word.
Step 1: Click anywhere on the Word document after opening it.
Step 2: Press Ctrl + G keys together. This will open Find and Replace tool.
Step 3: You will see a text box with the label “Enter page number”. Type in the page number you want to delete.
Step 4: Click on Go To button, and this will take you to the entered page number on the document.
Step 5: Once you reach the desired page number, click on Close button on Find and Replace Tool.
Step 6: Verify the page number and select the page entirely with your mouse cursor, and press Backspace or Delete key.
3. Remove The Blank Page From The End
Microsoft Word tends to automatically add an extra blank page at the end of the document with the assumption that the user will write something on it. If you want to delete the last page which is actually a black page, take the following steps.
Step 1: Press Ctrl + End keys together to reach the last page of the document.
Step 2: Click anywhere on that page and select the page with the mouse cursor
Step 3: Press Backspace until the page vanishes and the pointer goes to the last line of the previous page.
4. How To Recover Deleted Word Page
It is quite usual for any user to delete a page in Word unintentionally or accidentally. Fortunately, it is easy to recover deleted Word page. You have to press Ctrl + Z keys together to undo the last change you have made which is deleting the page in this case. You can keep pressing Ctrl + Z for undoing all the recent changes. However, if you have deleted a page and closed the files after saving, you cannot recover the page.
