The former general counsel (GC) of Tata Sons, Shuva Mandal, has today officially announced his exit and joining start-up law firm Anagram Legal with a job profile change on LinkedIn.
We had first reported his move last month, amidst speculation that he would be managing partner at Anagram, which also includes as co-partners with Nishith Desai Associates (NDA) leaders Simone Reis and Rajesh Simhan.
His LinkedIn update does not mention him as managing partner of Anagram.
We have reached out to him and Reis for comment but have not heard back, and neither have apparently any of the other publications that have now began reporting his move, such as moneycontrol and surely some other mainstream media outlets soon too, in light of his high-profile former position at arguably India’s favourite conglomerate.
The firm also does not appear to have a website yet.
18:15: Mandal commented: “We are a just-set-up outfit and these are early days. We have no managing partners etc.
“We are just focused on high quality client service and solving hard issues for our clients. We are keeping it simple. At this stage, it’s just work. Nothing else.”
