With much of the world still closed off to U.S. travelers, American tour companies are taking the opportunity to sell backyard travel to domestic customers, placing an emphasis on National Parks and other outdoor experiences that are sometimes overlooked.
Are there any “hidden gems” of nature near your home? What nearby outdoor places do you enjoy visiting, be it a local beach, a hidden waterfall, scenic exercise trail, state park or something else? Would these places appeal to vacationers or are they best appreciated by locals? Do you think Americans appreciate the diversity of natural beauty around them or take it for granted?
Tell us in the comments, then read the related article to learn more about vacation opportunities for nature-loving Americans.
