New Delhi: BluSmart Mobility on Monday announced the appointment of Inderpreet S Wadhwa, founder and former chairman and CEO of Azure Power, and Mitesh Shah, co-founder, Inflection Point Ventures (IPV) to its board of directors.
Wadhwa and Shah have substantial experience in the sectors of energy, infrastructure, mobility and financing, the company said in a statement.
“We are pleased to welcome Wadhwa and Shah to our board and are looking forward to working closely with them as we continue our mission to provide a reliable and sustainable mobility service to our customers,” Anmol Jaggi, co-founder and CEO, BluSmart Mobility, said.
Wadhwa is a recognised global leader in sustainable energy – having built the renewable energy portfolio for listing Azure Power on NYSE (the first Indian renewable company to be listed on New York Stock Exchange). He is an alumnus of Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
“I am excited to be a part of BluSmart’s sustainable and innovative business model that is revolutionising mobility for the masses through a perfect blend of social consciousness, technology and affordability in one of the largest and fastest-growing public transportation markets. I look forward to working with the BluSmart team and contributing to its path-breaking journey,” Wadhwa said.
Shah comes with vast experience in the startup space, which led him to co-found IPV. He has served as the chief financial officer at Ola Cabs. At BluSmart he will be responsible for business strategy, financing, investments, and monitoring its financial activities.
“BluSmart represents the cutting edge of the Indian electric mobility ecosystem and has built a best-in-class company as well as a platform. It is a great opportunity to join the BluSmart leadership team at such a time, especially when electric vehicles assume significant mind space for all of us due to the rising pollution in the country,” Shah said.
